I have a slow leak on a bead probably not seating well.

Before I got and pop the bead again what is a sure fix?
A friend said that there may be corrosion on the aluminum wheel seat and to sand it down.

What else?
Don't like doing it again.

It's going to be corrosion on the wheel or the lip of the tire is cut. You can probably clean it up and put some rubber cement around the bead to help it seal.

The best way as mentioned is to clean up the rim well and scuff the tire bead. A wire wheel works best. Don't use any sealer if you can help it as it may be quite a problem to remove the tire when/if you need to change it.

Maybe it's just the photo but those tires look way over inflated.

i got it up to 45 psi to help find the leaks, and maybe it would help seal it.

Check with your local tire shops, meaning an actual tire shop. I worked at a Chevron and we used a black rubber adhesive/cement on drag slicks. All of the drag racers came to me after they found out I had the sealer/cement and baby powder and knew how to use it :)

Also used it on several older mud grips for lease only hunting vehicles that had the bead torn trying to dismount them. Worked like a champ.
