Like the idea of topless but do not want to get rid of the ht so to preserve it the plan is to blast the rust , rust treatment, epoxy prime and store it in my case the rust is not bad now but left unattended would be more expensive later. you would save the cost of top coat and worry of scratching until and if you decide to use it.
I put my hard top on this winter, i liked having it in. Or so i thought. I took it back off last weekend and put on a new family cage bikini top on. That will be the last time the hard top is on.
Worst case i will find or have a windjammer made for the cold month we get.
Installed the Rampage top couple of years ago and love it. Full coverage when required and easily folds down to allow use of bikini top, or you can remove side and/or rear windows to adjust to weather conditions as required. Very versatile! My fiberglass half-cab is suspended in the garage and hasn't been used in 10 years now.
I forgot about this.its been 20 years since I just had the short bikini top. It just is what it is. Back in the day I would blast up the 405 in the middle of the night getting home from hockey. The bulge never bothered me. 20 years ago my 1st daughter was born. Family cages were a must before she could ride in em so along came a full length bikinis with it.
NO TOP OR BIKINI TOP DURING SUMMER, COME NOVEMBER THE SOFT TOP GOES ON AND STAYS THERE UNTIL i TAKE IT DOWN IN APRIL FOR SUPER CELEBRATION THEN IT STAYS OFF UNTIL END OF OCTOBER
I've had 13 early Broncos and have sold every hard top! It's no top, bikini top, or soft top for me. I love the look of hard tops the best, but they are just too cumbersome to remove and replace easily IMO.
