Hello everyone, Today at work I wasn't busy so I decided to put some LED lights in my front park lamps. Thought I would take some pictures of it if anyone else wanted to do it also. I just sandblasted my housings and painted the outsides flat black and the inside a "argent" ford silver. Rather than buying new bulb sockets and wiring I went to Theisen's Farm Store and picked up some LED trailer lights for 5.99 each. I then took a note card and traced the shape of the outside of the housing. As you can see it is the same as the inside. Then I marked a line as to locate where the led lamp would be cut to fit inside stock Bronco housing. Then I marked the lamp and cut it with a 3 inch cut off wheel.

Continuing on I took the new lamp and stock housing and took some time file fitting the two to together. I then threw a little heat shrink around the wires to help seal where they go into the housing and luckily enough the little black gasket that came with the lamp had a small hole and dimple in the center. I cut it out to fit the hole in the bottom of the housing and pushed the wires through it. I was going to use an epoxy or panel bond to put the light in the housing but opted for hot glue just for the ease of removal if the lamp were to go out or have any issues.

And here's finally a couple pictures of them lit up. The pictures don't do it justice my phone kept trying to focus on the bright light. I plan on running clear lenses on them so they should look nice when the broncos done%)

I would also like to add I am planning on using one power wire similar to how trailers and brake/turn tail lights are....just not sure how yet. If anyone has any input on this it would be greatly appreciated. If it won't work I am going to move the one light down and put two lights stacked in the housing.

Curious - why'd you decide to keep a lens inside of another lens? Why not just use the bulb?

I'm assuming your talking about using a led bulb. Well my wiring was shot and these were cheap so I thought why not. Also I am using clear lenses in the future and wanted the light to still be amber. I know the led under the lenses is most likely amber already but it is sealed and this way it took me about 10 minutes to do.

I like it! You might have to go with 2 of them in there, I can't think of how you can wire it to maintain parking lights, and have a turn signal like stock. 2 LED's should do that function fine though without anything complicated going on.
