I have a 1967 Bronco with stock electrical wiring for my light and stock lights. I’m planning I’m placing LED bulbs in the front blinker lights, tail lights and reverse lights.. I plan on placing an LED Load Equalizer on the tail light blinker wire.. Do I need to place one on the Front Blinker light wiring too??

I didn’t use the resistors, I just replaced the flasher units for the turn signals and hazards with LED compatible ones. It just seemed like the easier thing to do since they just plug in.... that’s another option for you.

What are LED flashers??

Flashers are the little round relay looking things under the dash that trigger the bulbs to flash. Regular flashers have a metal strip that heats under electrical load and opens the circuit disrupting power to the bulb. That cycles open and closed and makes the bulb flash. There is a flasher for the turn signals and one for the hazards.

LED bulbs do not draw enough current to trigger the standard flasher. So, you can switch to LED compatible flashers. I only had to replace the one for the turn signals. My hazards worked with the standard flasher.

I used a Grote 44891. It clicks when the turn signal is on just like the old flasher. I didn’t like not hearing it and drove around a lot with the turn signal on until I replaced the bad turn signal switch. You will need to ground this flasher if you want to hear it.

That's cool that it clicks. Is the click volume adjustable? I may get a little deaf in a few years.

Under my dash there are two of those small relays. Does one go to the front blinker light and the other to the rear blinker lights? So I need to replace both right??

One is for the turn signals and the other is for hazard lights. Turn on your hazards and see if you can tell which one is making noise. The hazard flasher is probably closer to the center of the dash and you may not have to replace it.

I would do the turn signals first and once you have the bulbs installed, try the hazards. If they don’t flash, switch the hazard flasher too.

It’s great. When I had the quiet one I kept driving around with the turn signal on like some old coot....

I can’t remember if I had to switch the polarity on the connector plug. I don’t think I did.
