After 7 years of the doors being off I decided to install again. My son and I got them hung in about 20 minutes yesterday, but it's not pretty. The drivers is worse than the passenger side. See picture attached for drivers side, I'm not sure shims will help it. A small child could slip between the door and the latch. So I guess I will do my best to align them, I bought some door shims a while back for this day..... can't find the darn things. They stayed in one spot until I decided to move them one day, when I moved them I even labeled them DOOR SHIMS all over the box, still can't find them. Guess I'll order more of them so I can find that box. Also somehow in that 7 yrs I have managed to lose a window crank and inner door handles. So I guess I need to purchase some new ones. Sucks about the window crank. What size bolt or screw is used to hold the door straps on inside the Bronco?

So what is the point of the shims not being able to slide in behind the hinges, you have to take all the bolts out in order to install them. That seems very stupid!

Question for the group, do I need door seals at all? So I ripped the passenger side out and everything fits flush now. What would be wrong with leaving the seals off? Only gets driven when it pretty outside.

It will likely rattle. When you wash it it will leak. That gap on rear top is likely fixed by body mount shims in rear mounts. I had to add nearly 1\4" shim to rear body mount. It basically lifts the rear of the body up at the door, closing that gap.
