Well now that I have a functioning welder in my shop (btw who builds a 30x40 and only puts 30A 115v into a shop.... FFS PO!) i am set to get my 74 all braced up to continue the rust removal surgery. I have somewhat of an idea of how I am going to brace it all, but as I tend to be dumb sometimes and miss things, I figured I would come here and get some more ideas! I am definitely looking to make it somewhat "modular" as I will need to be replacing door posts, floor boards, kick panes, toe boards, rockers and will need to remove some braces as I go along and then replace them once the new parts are in.

Cheers

Here’s how I made some use out of angle iron. Not pretty but it held things together for bake, blast and trip to body man.

heavy angle iron bolted through the hard top and down to the door posts with a cross beam. Don't have real good picture but there's some, and the link has the description. When I needed to replace a door post I took the bracing off and welded on some metal square tube between the rear door post and the firewall with a cross brace to the frame mount on the passenger floor pan. This was after it was back on the body dolly.
