Lift off hinge mods

I wanted to go with lift on hinges and real doors, and not hack up mine and play with single shear and double shear forces. But I am hoping to use my fiberglass door inserts when I do.

I have mediocre to avg steel fab and welding skills, but have been fabricating fiberglass for 30 years. Who makes the best lift off hinge under 350$ I can start with and then maybe use my booger welding skills to make a frame and fiberglass the insert as a decent replacement,. Having it latch up is a must with the striker on a 1968.

Anyone ever done this or have some advice?

I have not priced them in years, but the Duff are the best that I have seen. The pins are well sized (bigger than stock).
