I just found a nice little 66 in a Garage, parked for the last 25 or so years. Last time on the road was 1983. After we took a sledge to the front drums to free them up we got her loaded and got it home. it isin my avatar. Real solid and the top & glass seals are perfect. Enuff about it.

The VIN is:

U15FLK29313

Codes are:

092 V U152 3C 05

Not totally came with no title and had been painted in the early 80's. Maybe they updated it. Has the lay down shocks in the rear. They look like spring overs, It has the vaseline jar master cyl? looks like a replacement 170 it has D1 on the valve cover sticker. Looks like 4.11 HD susp. 3300#.

What does the vin look like not enuff numbers?

where is a 092 built?

The production number you provided is for a 1971 model. If the production number is really 829313, then it was made in Feb 1966.

U15 - wagon
F - 170 ci engine
L - assembly plant code, Michigan Truck
K29313 - production number, Oct 1970
092 - wheelbase
V - color
U152 - HD wagon, 4900 lb GVWR
3 - interior trim, front buckets w/o rear seat
C - trans, 3 speed manual
05 - rear axle code, 3300 lb open w/4.11 ratio

Does not look like a 66 to me. It has the large blinker lenses in the grill, side maker lights, and no fold down windsheild brackets. If it is a 66 it has had some major work done after 66.

The body screams 1971. The only thing that says 1966 is the master cylinder and bumpers. I bet the body is a 71 and it was placed on a 66 frame/suspension. Check the VIN on the frame.

Looks like a mutt of some kind. Probably as said, 66 frame and goods with a 71 title and body. Rear shock setup is 66 as well.

VIN is vehicle identification number. Its the U15FLK29313 number. It should be stamped on the top of the passenger side frame just under the firewall.

Looks like a "mutt" '66 . Bumpers are '66 along with the frame & doors ... engine compartment is '66 , early air box & rear shock mounts , shouldn't have a headliner but might of been added . Later grill , hood & front fenders . Where is that VIN tag .. on the glovebox door or driver side kick panel ? Should be on the kick panel if a '66 .
Ok just saw your other post .... the passenger door is late & driver door '66 ( lock under handle ) . Late tailgate too . Dash is '66 ... some find ya got there !
