I was just wondering if the factory differentials were true lockers or limited slip???? I've seen them called both. I just bought a 73 Ranger with 3:50 front and rear locking differentials and was curious to what is in it.

the factory is a limited slip. Ford called them trac-loc. They work well but the clutches tend to wear out fast with larger tires.

Like Phred said, they can work well. Mine didn't, and that's not particularly uncommon either with 33" or larger tires. The Trac-Loc can actually work well as a limited slip, especially with upgraded clutch packs, but what it doesn't do well is act as a strong carrier for the Ford 9" application, as they tend to break the caps around the ring gear bolt holes, effectively disconnecting the ring gear from the carrier.
