Do any of you guys know a good metal supplier in the Orlando area preferably towards St. Cloud / Kissimmiee or even over in the Melbourne area. I need one that does small orders, I have a couple projects I need to get going since I got the welder and plasma cutter back up and running. Preferably I would like to find a place that can cut to size and drill. The big guys up in downtown Orlando are not interested in hobbyist size orders and up until now the little metal I have needed I could get at Tractor Supply. Anyways, if anyone knows of a good place around me I would appreciate the recommendation.

Alro metals on Forsyth Rd. North of Colonial.
I have walked out of their with pieces of 6061 aluminum not more than 10" x 10" x 1".
So they definitely do small orders.

I totally forgot that there was a metal supply place right there. Do you know if they will cut to order and possibly drill? I have a press but if it's not that much more it would sure speed up my project to have them drill as my press is not exactly a work horse. The first project I am working on is a tube bender and the plans have quite a few parts that need to be drilled.

Hmmmmm a tube bender.... I think I see where your headed.

Yeah I bought the plans from gottrikes.com after reading a lot of reviews, it's a really nice hydraulic bender. Anyways, I have a cage to build here soon, also going to build a side-by-side and the boy and I are planning to do an air boat and doing all the cage work myself will save a fortune. Also need to build some bumpers and want to add the pe-runner style hoops, so I have a bunch of stuff that I am going to need a bender for and figure I can come out money ahead building one. The ones comparable to the gottrikes plans are upwards of $600-$1000 and while I certainly will save that on the projects, it's just a hobby so I can't justify sinking that kind of money into a bender, but I can certainly spend the time to fab a good one up.
