Hi all. I'm in the middle of the 5.0 swap (whole engine out of a 91 mustang, using the RJM Harness) and was hoping to get some ideas or pictures of where people mounted their computers. TIA, Tim

I took out the storage box on the driver side and made a custom hanger shaped like a J with the top of the J being a large square to cover the hole. The lower J part was built like a wide hook the right size to squeeze the computer in and zip tie it. I need to become a contributor to take a pic. A pic. is worth a thousand words... Anyhow, it works well the way a set my harness up and is so easy to access. I pull it out everytime I weld, it takes less than 30 seconds if you leave the bolt on the conector hand tite.

I wrapped mine in an old bicycle inner tube and stuffed it between the heater box and the upper firewall, the glove box keeps it from coming out. It's honestly very secure and it wont go anywhere unless I actually take it out.

Won't that cause the computer to overheat?? I thought they needed a little air flow to keep from crapping out.

This is how I did mine..(not finished yet) I made a bracket off the gas pedal.

Granted I did some harness work to make all this happen...

Ditto........another cyclist..........used road bike handlebar tape and pipe strap to bolt it in and pad it above the heater box(because I pulled the heater and glove box out). The PO had it wedged on top of the heater box and it seemed to stay put without padding.
