If you have to do skins and door bottoms it is probably more cost effective to buy doors. Used doors are one of the few used body parts you can buy at a reasonable price without rust. They can be found if you look around. I see used doors go on e-bay for $100 each that need very little work. Just a suggestion here , but go to our "parts wanted " forum and ask for some. See what turns up. You might be very surprised.
From your name I assume you have a 67'. In which case you are going to have a harder time finding used doors since the 66-67 will only work on your tub. The 68-77 have different latches which are located a 3/4" from the 66-67 latch location.

I am thinking about reskining my drivers door bottom and the lower skin is only $40. The inside of the door bottom is still solid so for me I'll save in the long run.

My passenger door is in a similar condition but I may have to do a full reskin on that one.

I've seen my uncle reskin a set of doors and it didn't look very hard to do.

It would be easier to skin the whole door. $149 for a skin and you won't have to do any bodywork if you are good with a hammer and dolly. With todays door skin adhesive you won't even need to tack weld the skin.

The key hole is in a different location (Lower on the door) on the 68-77's which means inside door Key rod modifications.

WOW , I never noticed that. I have a 66, a 69, a 73 and never noticed that. I guess it's because I'm pre occupied with weather the door is going to fall off the 66 when I try to open it. ;D
