We've been applying Lowes "Peel & Seal" on the inside of our tub over "Lizard Skin Ceramic Heat Shield" and I am pleased so far. I've read about using the peel & seal here on the forum as an alternative to other more expensive options and I want to pass along my progress so far. We have used about 2 1/2 rolls to cover what you see so far in the pictures and are planning to cover everything that I sprayed the Lizard Skin on.

Just a "Show and Tell" post ;D

Looks great. Did you put both the thermal and sound lizardskin on? Do you just mix them together and apply?

Looking forward to your results.
Let us know how quiet it is. Did you get to drive this one before your application so you can report back to us any differences you notice?

Not this Bronco but I have owned 2 other Broncos that were all fairly bare on the inside so I believe I will be able to make a comparison.

I used this in my 66 GTA Fairlane. The difference in heat and noise transfer was substantial.

What are you going to put over top of that?

I've heard of using the roofing ice dam peel and seal as a poor mans dynamat before. So far I have not heard anything bad about it.

Some "not all" brands will gas off with an asphalt smell, but I have heard that a few summers and the odor burns off.
I have heard (at work) that Peel & Seal does not have the R-value of Ice Dam or Grace Bit. but that could be why it doesn't smell as strong.

I am subscribed to this thread to see how it turns out. I "think" Peel & Seal may be poor mans Dyna-Mat without the bituminous odors of the other alternatives.

Carpet does wonders. Insulation (thermal and acoustic). Back in high school I had some scrap household carpet (with no pad) that I fabed into a quicky carpet kit. Just the tub. Amazing how quiet it was. But it got wet and nasty. Out it came. House carpet, not a good choice.

Google it!

This stuff works and is cheap. It is foam backed foil, no smell etc. No shortage of internet success by muscle car owners.;D

I'm subscribing also.. I put bed liner down 1st then a bunch of Spray Can 3M undercoating . Then some foam tin backed pad. & THEN Black House Carpet. Mine seemed to do find. & I was trying to cover up The noise of my diesel & dust & dirt from the outside. I thought mine turned out ok..
... But I'd like something thinner & a little quieter. I like that peal & stick stuff.

Id be careful using the Peel & Seal on vertical surfaces. Once it gets hot from sun its going give. Peel & Seal is asphalt based while dynamite and such is butyl based.
