LUBR Wheel and Tire Size

I have a lifted uncut Bronco with 2" body lift and 2.5" suspension lift.

I want to put stock 15x8 stock type of wheels on with 33x10.5 tires.

I want to keep the tires tucked in under the fenders. Can I keep 10.5" tires under the fenders or do I need to go 9.5"?

Do I need 4" or 4.5" backspacing?

Lots of threads here about just that, so in addition to what we talk about here there are lots of experiences to help you decide.

You can indeed run the wider tire, but a 7" wide wheel would be even better for clearance.
With the 8" wide wheel however, the 4" backspace is just barely enough. Given the variations between Broncos then, that can work on some but not on others.
Generally though, in most cases the 4" is just enough.
But to be sure, using a wheel with more backspacing is advised for an 8" wheel and the 10.50" tire. So a 4.25-4.5 would be a better fit.
Having said that, it also tucks it in a bit tighter in the front too, which means you might rub the radius arms sooner. Luckily the arm is the least of your worries. Won't hurt the tire or the arm, but it sure does make a racket!

You've got enough lift to not need to move the rear axle back (mostly with the 33x9.50 crowd, but sometimes with 31's) but might still need to trim the inner fender apron pinch weld area in the front wheel well. Might already have been done in fact.

Good luck.

You should be fine with the 10.5s, I have 12.5s on 17x9s with 1 1/2 spacers and 3.5 BS. ;)

I have a 69 lubr, 3.5 sl and I can add either a 1" or 2" body lift. (I have both) I would like to have 17" wheels and tires. Axle is moved back 1". What fits with no rubbing?

David63 - I would go with a Wheel Vintiques 15x7" with a 4" Backspacing. These will fit great with a 33/10.50/15 Tire.

Summit Racing has them. Look for the one's that say "Bare". They are actually primed. Easily painted Wimbledon White (pictured) or Argent Gray to look stock.
