Way too tight for that pretty truck ;)

Pretty truck...not mine. I will say I need a better set of mud tires for that mud bogging rock crawling stuff. Getting my D44 with the ARB installed would help too...I'm really surprised that the D30 hasn't headed south on me yet.

I thought the truck looked great! Pretty impressed where you took it too!

Thanks! It does look OK, at least it is all one color and none of my other Broncos were like that. It is surprising where it will go considering there is nothing really all that special about it. ARB in the rear helps a lot and I'm hoping the one in the front will make it go better. I'd like to get some more flex out of it. My plan is a set of long arms and a set of F250 shock towers for the front. I’m not sure about the rear yet. I have an in board shock set up I can put on it. I've got a 3.5" lift and I'm thinking of a 1" body lift as well. I'd really like to move the fender flairs up to the body line too. I've seen some rigs like that and think it looks sharp. For now the engine is all set and I'll keep the ZF a little longer but may go with an auto OD at some point. I've got a new set of front fenders and a new set of door skins to put on it sometime. After that I'd need to paint it to get it back to all one color...thinking fire engine red w/ black trim. I want to replace the rockers with some tube steel too. I need to mount my winch and make a spare tire carrier too. Hmmmm....better plant another money tree I guess.

Remove anything or just a wigglin' around? Maybe it has the anit-sasquatch option and doesn't like 300 lbs in the right seat? ;D

well....I certainly wiggled stuff. But I did the opposite(oopppss) of what the F.A.S.T. guy told me to to go. That is, ground the trigger wire from the distributor between the FAST box and the ignition box and it started. I called him back to tell him what I did and he pointed out he said 'UN'-ground the wire. He then proceeded to tell me what I did made no sense and he had no clue(not in a non-helpful way, just confused).

I took the 'ground' wire off and the truck still runs and still starts. I'm gonna go back and check all my grounds on the harness. Maybe one is loose and by playing with the harness last night I pulled it into a postion where its touching again. seems to be the only thing that makese any sense.

I'm oh so not looking forward to my first electrical issue on my EFI. Everyone that helped me with the install said 90% of all problems will be a grounding issue. I have even added extra grounds between the engine and frame and body just in case. I've never checked them in the 3 years I've had the 5.0L in there but maybe I will now.

Thanks. It does run good and I don't think I'd ever go back to a carb again.

Hey guys...um...where are the "trails" I was thinking of trying? Is this the way the whole park looks? Seems they use the term trail loosely.

well. Hes really only been doing wheeling for like a year so most of the trails arent all that established. The one(s) we were on sunday was a lot better. For example, Paragon was actually around for a long time to get to the point it did.

I'm not sure I could give you great directions though. I'll think about it and maybe Tasker will chime in with some help. I'll write more tomorrow when I've had a chance to mull over exactly where we were.

I think you should give it a shot anyway. The guy, John, is really great and any income he can get at this point will help. PS make sure you have breakfast or dinner there!

I was just curious if they had trails that a modest truck like mine could actually handle. Were there 2 groups when you guys went up? Like easy and hard? I'd like to try going up next year probably and try something. I'm just not ready for what's in the pics you guys posted I don't think.

I had my GPS on for the "trails" I ran on but I have not down loaded the tracks yet. The trails are not much more than skidder trails and some old tote roads at this point. I'd go there again, I'd want to have my winch installed by them tho…or go with people that have a winch.
