Genius. How about making them from a plastic that won't warp like the original fiberboard?

We typically use the screws to hold the finished panel on the door so warping has not been a problem. As for the plastic we have found most upholsterers still like using the staples on the edges so I don't think that would fly. Come to think of it we do have these http://cdn.wildhorses4x4.com/images/uploads/4614_4406_popup.jpg I guess they could be used with a fabric cover.

I am going to give it a go.

Now, what about the rear interior quarter panel backing boards? Any plans to make those?
