It looks like my stock skid plate hangs about 4-5" below the bumper, but then tapers up to be even with the bottom of the bumper. I'm a little concerned with loosing some of my angle of departure, not that great now. Also, of the tank mounts too much forward of the stock one, I may have interference with my exhaust system, don't want to have to modify that, its new.

Chuck, could you give us the overall dimensions of the tank, with and without the skid plate?

TIA
Brian

You will need to drill the 2 side mount holes. The front mounts fit the holes that are in the cross
member. The skid plate mounts to the tank by 4 bolts.
The tank at the rear bumper is 3" below the bumper. Look at the picture to the left and you can
see the profile of the tank. The angle of the slop is about the same as the departure angle,
depending on tire size and lift. My tank hangs bown at the bumper about the same as the NWMP
tank unless you have a body lift. Then my tank can be moved up to match the body lift.

Ok guys,

I heard from Bones and he passed GB duties on to me. So lets get this ball rolling.

Jon, I am stealing your ealier post...sorry :)...but I dont want to leave anything out. You could go ahead and forward any emails to me at this time.

OK, here's the deal on the mass buy for the BC Broncos gas tank.

What: 24 Gallon rear fuel tank through BC Broncos
How much: Tank w/ skid plate $310 (normally $375) or tank w/o skid plate for $279 (normally $310) + shipping + tax if you're in California
How many people: We need a minimum of 20 people to make the deal go through
How long: All orders need to be placed by Friday, Oct 18th.
Payment: All payments will be made directly to BC Broncos so that a third party doesn't have to be in charge of your money.

If you want in on this deal please email me at elioart1@yahoo.com with the following info:

• What is your measurement between frame rails at the tank? Looks like some EB's vary.
 • Do you want one with or without a skid plate?
 • Do you need filler and vent hoses? ($15 for the set)
 • Your name, phone number, email and full mailing address with zip code to calculate shipping cost.

Be sure to include the word "TANK" to activate my filter

This is how it is going to work. After you send me your request, I will reply to your email with confirmation that your email was received. SAVE the confirmation. If you don’t receive confirmation within 24 hours re-send your request. I will give daily counts on this thread of how close we are to reaching the magic number (20). On Wednesday the 17th, I will post a list of names committed to buying. Look for your name and email me if there is a mistake. As stated above the mass buy ends Friday the 19th. (I am assuming at midnight.)

Let me remind everyone that the only way a mass buy works is if everyone who says they're in is really in. So do not add yourself to the list unless you are absolutely, positively and without a doubt sure you'll be buying one. If you say you'll buy one and then don't you could ruin it for the entire group. :-U

Here's the description of the tank and skid plate as taken from the BC Broncos site:
The ultimate Early Bronco fuel tank is here! Newly re-designed with cleaner lines and an ingenious new mounting system, this replacement fuel tank is designed to withstand years of hard-core four wheeling. The new track-mount system allows you to mount the tank in any Bronco, regardless of body lift, as high as possible to get maximum ground clearance. This tank is designed to take advantage of all available space to maximize fuel capacity, increasing your range. The kit includes tank, mounting bracketry, sender, hardware and instructions. The optional skid plate can be bolted on.

If anyone has any questions post them here. Thanks!
Payment will be due to BC Broncos shortly after the 18th. If we have at least 20 people buying by the 18th then the list will be sent to Chuck and he will calculate each persons total price with shipping (and tax if you are in CA)

If we don't have 20 buyers by the 18th then the deal is off.

For reference the new tanks are 23 1/4" wide so just be sure that will fit in your frame.
