I think that is what most of us who DON'T want the skid plate want to know. Is that the deal? I don't think anyones saying its not a good deal. Just trying to find out if we're in or not.

Example....If chuck was offering free shipping. Not such a good deal if you live in Hesperia but great if you live in Maine.

As Far as I am concerned it is the best tank on the market and I will buy one eventually. But my rig is along way from needing gas. :-[ But if the price is right...
I just got off the phone with Chuck and there are a few questions that everyone has to answer who wants to order:
• What is your measurement between frame rails at the tank? Looks like some EB's vary.
 • Do you want one with or without a skid plate?
 • Do you need a filler hose?
Jeepster I was refering to what Jon said about wanting the tank with or without the skid, I knew what Chuck had said earlier about the free skid. When I read what Jon said, after Chucks post, I thought that it sounded like it could go one of two ways:
1) normal price on tank + Free Skid Plate
2) Special Price on tank + No Skid
So its not really an issue, just thought that if we had in fact been given a choice that it might be a good Idea to see which way people wanted to go. Since you could always order the skid plate separate strait from Chuck you might find that more people could afford to get in on the deal if it was in fact offered at a reduced rate. If I missunderstood Jon's post then its still not an issue as I will be along for the ride either way. Was not in any way trying to rock the boat. ;)

Thanks Chuck for working with us on this!! ;D

My bad, I was looking at the trans. skid plate price/cost. The tank skid plate is $65. I was planning to
only do a tank and skid plate combo. because I can do a better deal that way but if people do not
want the skid plate I can work with that but the deal is not as good. Tank with skid plate = $310,
Tank only = $279. Both would be + shipping + tax if in CA and + fill & vent hose if needed, The
hoses are $15 for the set. The shipping would be less without the skid plate

This is a great idea but it needs to have a little more focus (starting to sound a bit like a soap opera) to get it done.

Seems to be some confusion on who is or wants to be the, (GB) after looking back through the post Bones is clearly the man!! If he would like to hand it off ( I think that is what I understood) then it looks like SgtRock was the first to volunteer. Bones is that good with you? SgtRock you sure you want to ride this pony? If so lets rock and roll.

If Bones and SgtRock pass on it looks like Fechin is up, come on and lets get this going.

I don't mean to tweak any noses but this thing is pages long and days old without a clear plan yet. Bones you the man...what say you?
