Customer wants biggest tire on stock rim (5.5) width with 2.5 inch suspension lift and no body lift. I am thinking 30x9.5x15. Will a 31x10.5x15 fit if we roll the rear quarter panel lips? Don't need guessing. Need to hear from someone who has done it. Mark in San Diego. Beach City Broncos

Yes 31x10.5 will fit with the lips rolled slightly. I ran that same lift and tire and wheel combo on a 68. The tires were BFG mud terrains.

They fit, you will need to roll the fender lip some.

Hi, 31 x 10.5 no problem. I did that for many years with stock 5.5 x 15 rims, very over loaded at times with 2.5" lift. No problem. Good luck

I had 31x10.5x15's on the stock 15x5.5's with no lift. Typical rubbing of radius arms up front. No problems in the rear because I had already rolled the lips from when I was running the same 31's on 15x7 rims. However, I had serious problems finding a tire shop that would mount a 10.5" wide tire on a 5.5" wide rim. I also ran 33x9.50x15's on the same wheels with no rubbing but my rig had a 3.5" lift (no body lift) by that time. Sorry, no pics unless you want to wait for me to dig my old glossy's out. That was close to 20 years ago now!

I wish I would have had stock rims widened professionally. Then ran stock wheels with a more vertical tire.

31x10.50x15, no lift, body or suspension, did not roll the fenders, the tires don't rub at all even when flexed
