I'm working on installing my Extreme Custom Parts 1/2 cab exterior cage kit this weekend. It came in pieces to save on shipping so I get to put it together. For some reason I got it my head that I really wanted a bulkhead in this truck despite the fact that I'm running a soft top. I think years of driving a van with stuff sliding from the back to the front has something to do with it. That early decision has made for a few interesting challenges, but it will be easy to put a half cab top on it if that's what I want to do later on.

On to today's challenge:

The bent pieces from Extreme are cut long, I need to bevel them my self and get to decide how tall to make the cage. With the soft-top up it looks like I can go for a total height of 43" from the bed to the top of the cage and have everything clear. On the chance I decide to put a full-size hard top on one day, how tall can I go and have the cage clear the top? Seems like I've got dimensions of everything but from the floor to the ceiling. Could somebody with a hard top on go out and measure theirs?

Thanks!
Steve

My bar is 42" off the floor and clears the top by 2". so if you went 43" you would get 1" of clr. A hard top is 25" tall off the top of the bed rails at the B hoop site.(rear of door) FYI modify your bulkhead so it sits straight up and down. it gives you alot more room in behind the seats (about 6") for storage. guns etc....
