This years Fall Crawl will be at a new location called Potts Mountain Trail. Potts Mountain Trail is 17 miles long and rated blue with some black. On December 3, 2016 9:00 am we will meet at The Pines Campground. There isn't an address but Google will get you there. Both the campground and the trail are located off of SR 617 within the George Washington and Thomas Jefferson National Forests about 25 minutes out of Covington. The campground is a first come first serve deal but the cost you can’t beat, free. There are two vault toilets located on the grounds plus an old hand pump for a fresh water well. The other convenience of the campground is that it is a great staging area for the trail ride. The lower trail head is only a mile and half from the campground.
We should have a few locals who will be able to guide us.
Hope to see you there!

For those of us that are coming from the north I'm thinking of doing another trail on Sunday, Flagpole Knob in GWNF. It's 2h 45min north near Harrisburg, Va. We would leave Potts Mountain Trail, load up and head north Saturday night. Stay in Harrisburg and hit the trail at 9:00. If interested in that part of the event leave a comment!

John, don't know if I would have trusted that guy in the one vid that was spotting you. Sketchy dude totally into peer pressure on the trails! LOL

I'm with Tasker, does look a bit nippy.

Totally sketchy and dumb as a stone.
Peer pressure, that too.

We have gotten pretty comfy wheeling at Rausch, this was a total adventure as there was basically no cell service until you got to the top of the ridge and we were tourists on an unknown trail. John's rig is a beast, yes there was peer pressure since it wasnt mine and I was just a tourist.
