Just when I was pulling into home on Sunday, I was listening to the last Cubs game of the year. They ended their pathetic season with a win which was nice, but the ironic kicker was the season record that Pat Hughes rattled off as the game ended...66 and 96. Very Eerie. %)

A HUGE thank you to all our sponsors once again and a cheers to all the new and old Bronco friends who attended.

Yes it was a blast!
I had a great time. Had a tire unbead itself in a nasty spot on Friday, Broncolove (TheBroncoRanch), Norm, Paul and a group of others helped me rebead it at camp - Thanks guys!
And broke a tierod just as we hit the peak of McCaslin mountain on Saturday.
Kurt M. had a Premier Power Welder and 4 1/2 inch angle grinder and one of our group was a welder by trade.
Talk about luck! We were back on the trail 30 minutes later! Thanks a million guys!!
Here's a couple more pics...
There's Broncolove (back to the camera) checking his Bronco out.
Last one is of Mike of CompleteOffroad - another sponsor - Thanks Mike!

Mark, Great hanging out with you and Frenchy over the weekend, can't wait till the next one;D We need to get you a full size spare;D and maybe some extra tie-rod ends. It all worked out good in the end:cool:

Yeah that happened on Saturday!
He tried to fit it between 2 trees that the early Broncos had no trouble passing thru.
He was bummed as he just had that side repaired not to long before he smashed it again. After that he went back to camp.
seen that and wondered if that was fresh carnage. OUCH

Hey guys,

I had a blast wheelin' and hanging out with all of you. We met a great bunch of people that would stop at no end to help out others in need. That is hard to find these days. Ken, thanks for the shock bolts.......John, thanks for the ride into town to track down some radius arm bushings, Chris for the great food Fri. and Sat., and to Ken and Jack for taking me out the first two days we were there. I am going to make a DVD of all the short clips from my camera and vid cam of all of us. I will let you know when it is ready and I will send one to anyone who wants one. Thanks to all who worked so hard to put the event together.

Mike

Hey Mike (DRBRONCO69)
I've gotta thank you for being the first person I spotted both times to alert me something was wrong - 1st with the tire unbeading 2nd with the broken tie rod end.
Way to be on the ball and get my attention!
Also for helping with the disassembly/reassembly of the tie rod.
Sincerely Thank you!
You know your sh!# and wheel with the big boys even with a near perfect body and 33" tires, open front, limited slip rear. Thats called having nads!

Tom, Broncolove, glad you could order some pics. I love the side shot of your bronco up on the lookout. Wish we would of parked down there instead of up on the rock. Can you pass the link for the pics on to Norm. There are a bunch of cool ones of him too. So what does MP stand for?

DrBronco the dvd would be cool-- Would love a copy. Looks like you have some great pics too.

Thanks

K

Tom, by the time we get together for Attica next spring, I'll have that darn spare, and I'll always carry extra tie rod ends ;) lesson learned!
DRBONCO69 (Mike), I must have missed the body damage! I'd like a copy of that DVD too please.
Here's a few more pics...
There's CB member mike.l's super clean green '66 roadster and then a few more uncut classics, one of the Black Cloud at the top of McCaslin, and then a group shot at the top.

Those attending the event made for a great weekend for my family. We are looking forward to making a few trail rig mods/improvements, and taking a short break next Spring from home construction to head to Attica to go wheeling with some of you again.

My family and I had a great time as well. Perfect ending to our 2 week vacation. I had a blast on the trail. Meet quite a few cool people that I would love to wheel with again some time. Awesome event, Thank-you to all those who worked to make it happen. And thanks to WildChild for donating the raffle prizes I won.
Here are a few of the pics I took at the event.
Oh, and DRBRONCO69 I would like a copy of that DVD as well, I think you have quite a bit of footage of my Bronco filmed thru your rear window.

Another one of Mike L.'s U13 with our long distance attendees and a couple more U13 owners/fanatics, Terry and Ernie. Terry came all the way from California and Ernie from Virginia! Great to meet you guys. Thanks for making the big trips.

I will let all of you know when the DVD is completed. Probably about two weeks or so.

I did end up with a little rh rear quarter damage and rh rocker crunch. No big deal and easily repairable. When we headed up there, I planned on coming home with much more than that so I was very happy about it all in all.

Thanks for the compliments. I hope to scrape up some money to do a few mods before Attica. Larger tires, gearing, locker up front, some bodywork etc. We will see how things go.

To all of the good guys and their families we met, hopefully next year my little one will be ready to wheel. Kurt, your son rocks. Literally! Mike and Chad, I like how your families are involved so much. Very cool.;D

Gabe, I am glad you won half a Bronco in the raffle. You won more in one night than we can buy in two years for our rigs. Rock on brother!

Save the bodywork till you get back from Attica.

Thanks for the ride on Friday Tom. Even though you were having carb problems due to the bad gas (in the Bronco tank... %)) your rig performed well. Hat's off to all of the folks that put on the event, I had a great time. It was great hanging out with Tim, Ernie, Paul, Tom, Norm, Lou, and Mike. Not be mention my long time Bronco bud Kurt Loftfield (hope I spelled that right). I hope to bring my rig out for the next one!
