I dont know about your area specifically, but I took a mig welding class through our local junior college. It was cool, the instructor was all about giving us time in the booth to practice.

/\/\ Good advice there.

Usually community colleges/junior colleges have courses on welding as well as mechanics and body work (all useful for working on a Bronco).
Often you can take your projects in and work on them with their equipment and an instructor to help you learn how.

Thanks guys,

Could a 4 hour class and some "you tube'in" suffice? I just need to patch some holes and install some floor panels. I will not have the time to take a full year long course at a community college.

How it was explained to me is that someone else can show you how but you 'teach' yourself.

Practice, practice, practice..................

ACC has great classes on metal fab and welding. They are at the south east campus, and that's a ways from Round Rock. Try Tech Shop in Round Rock. Lots of guys there with great experience and know how. It's a really cool place.

I learned by doing (pre youtube) that would have saved me some grief. As far as welding processes go, MIG is fairly easy to learn. I don't know what welder you bought, but correct welder setup, clean steel. Good light and a good helmet so you can see. watch videos, practice, practice

... one of my grand sons is in welding school in Red Oak now. I'd bought a cheap harbor freight welder.
... He gave me about a 5 minute lesion. I think that advise about you can take the coarse but you teach yourself. With lots of practice. & a better welder will help a lot over this cheap-O I have.
... I'm doing the same thing your wanting I want to put floor pans into my Red Bronco.
