Always a fun time Ben!

Well, I got it painted today, hopefully I can get it all back together tomorrow. I have a few imperfections to fix and the color is slightly off compared to what I painted a few years back. Oh well, at least it's much cleaner looking with no more dents chips or dings, and the grill looks so much better now.

So, today's progress...
First, I sprayed the Wimbledon white base coat on the center of the grill. Then came the arduous task of taping and masking it off. I kept the headlight bucket assemblies in place to save some time since this was supposed to be just a quickie paint job.;D
After it was masked off the New Lime base coat was applied.

After unmasking the grill it was time to paint the ford letters. I did it by hand with a brush and some striping enamel. Once that was set it was time to spray the clear coat... and finally, pull all the masking off the truck.
And that's my two day quickie paint job!;D

Next... there was always this spot on the lower drivers grill that bugged me, like that side had been bumped and slightly tweaked. So I decided to take the grill off and fix it right.
I sanded the paint and found a crease filled with bondo.%) I chipped and ground all of that out and reworked the metal back to original shape and then fit the grill to the fender a bit better.

Looks great. I have similar issues that I may pick your brain on tomorrow.

The Bronco is heading to the round up again, so I've mainly spent the last several days building a fresh set of my latest revision of these bumpers to dress her up with. I'm also experimenting with a swing out tire carrier to go with them. More details to come...
for now she's all packed and loaded up, ready to head out in the AM.:)
