It's about 40 minutes up to Malibu from my place. I hit the beach every morning just south of lax so looking north is a view of the Malibu mountains. The fire is on the backside of the valley behind Malibu.
We just returned from San Jose visiting my daughter and son in-law. We were inconvenienced by an 8 hour, planned power outage in there area. The LA fire started on the day we flew home. I’m so glad we live in the mid west. The kids are planning to get out of CA as soon as possible. They both work at Goggle so they are building their resumes.
Boy what timing. I just got a text from my daughter, let us know that Matt’s (our son in law) aunt and uncle are in the evacuation area for the north LA fire. They are head to San Jose to stay with them.
.. I was in Malibu when I was 16. My 16 year old summer was a thrill. & I made it home . For my Senior year in school.
... Dad really though I'd stepped out & really done something . I'd even say he was glad for me .. As He'd left home on his horse at 12 or 13 But it was 1915 + .. His 1st job was working for .. BRUSHY BILL.. oR Billy the KID..
oR SO THE STORY GOES . dAD WORKED for him until the 1st pay check came in .. Then as He'd found out who he was supposed to be .. Dad moved on.
... Mom didn't like it at all.
