I'll go with its a whole package. I see lift and light modifications. Cut with larger tires probably fills out the package better. If you were not doing the lift and going more stock/stock appearing restomod then uncut.
As for paint color. The original color palate is good. Any of the trendy colors right now will be dated to this period in time shortly. You can always pick out a custom paint job from the late 80s is my best example. But I am not opposed to a modern interpretation of a vintage color. An example is my 1961 boat that I panted 2009 Nissan Cube Moss Green instead of the original 50's style light blue (both two tone over white). While not an original color from the day, the green has the vibe of the day. It helped seeing the color on a similar shape, the Cube is generally close to my boat or a Bronco, large surfaces with a slight crown to them with tight radius corners. The shape plays into the color as well. I think that is why I never find Black to look good on a Bronco, it just doesn't work with the shape.
