I looked for some threads about adding AC and all I found were old ones. I’m looking for what would be a good set up. I have an Explore Swap with a serpentine belt. I using the Explore bracket which the stock AC compressor bolted to. I’m using original Explorer PS pump.
Is there a kit I can use with my set up ?
I looked at Vintage Air and it said it uses a V belt.
I have not called anyone just started looking into it.
This swap has been around for awhile I’m sure it’s figured out now.
Heading to Super Cel if someone has a kit installed I would like to check it out

The pulleys on the compressor can be swapped for a serp belt. Call vintage they’re good to work with.

Check with BC Broncos. They sale kits with choices of pully type, hose routing and compressors for different type brackets.

Ping Dirtdonk, his 68 has the BCB kit with Factory Explorer AC compressor that I did years ago.
Vintage Air, I found there Tech line lacking...
I got more out of Jason and Gretchen at BCB. VA parts are at Summit for faster delivery.
Plan to use a lot of insulation in your rig, else all you are doing is trying to cool a Bread box.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Maybe BC Broncos they will be a SC. I will PM Dirt dork . I run a soft top , I understand I won’t able to roll the windows up and turn it into a ice box but some cold air blowing on me would be nice

It's more than adequate for that. Well more in fact, as it will keep the box cool on a hot day fairly well. Not quite like a modern car, but it's really not bad.
Still haven't gotten my heater dialed in just right, but the A/C blows cold.
Been trying to install my Racket Jacket system and the new full Sport floor mats along with some more insulation, but getting sidetracked too many times. Figure it's going to make a huge difference though, so making the A/C even better.

I have the latest BCB/Vintage Air equipment in my Bronco, installed about a year ago, with Explorer 5.0 front dress. Just tell BCB you are using a factory Explorer compressor and they will supply the correct adapter fitting for the back of the compressor. And do yourself a favor and buy a new compressor. If a used one is contaminated it could ruin the new stuff.
