Well at least it smelled like a 68 Bronco should have smelled like ;D No One even noticed that it was EFI. But the Cat was a vast improvement!

Not sure what to take with this back and forth. Did Paul add cats to the rig he just purchased? And is happy with the results? I'd expect Doug would have already would have had this one dialed in..

I was told by a couple local muffler shops not to waste money on cats, they won't do much....

I put a Cat on the 68... (2 into one Exh) I got tired of a rich smell, (especially on deceleration) even though my "outputs" observed through ForScan software indicated that I was running in the correct parameters. It did quiet down the exhaust a little, but it definitely cleaned up the exhaust. Then Paul bought it a few month later... :)

In your case Evan, we need to verify that your EFI is working properly and is set up correctly. Or else the Cat would just be a bandage...

By the way my local Muffler guy said the same thing...

Yep, he did it. Not sure if my whining about the smell when standing next to it idling put some urgency on it%), or he was already going to do it anyway. But it sure made the difference.
I bought a cat at the same time because of our discussions about it, to put on my other engine as well.

Thanks for clarifying. Lowered the truck today, hopefully digging into the Efi Tom.
