We've had our 1969 Bronco for 15 years now and it's on its second frame off resto. First I had the frame powdercoated black and ive always had fox body mustangs til 5 years ago. So I had a spare 5.0 in parts car, had the transmission rebuilt also, had all this sitting in it , new shocks, new bushings everywhere, had seats reupholstered with blue accents.
All this over the first 3 or 4 years while trying to grow our business where we do screen printing, signs, wraps and embroidery. In business we design logos all day long but it took me 12 years to come up with our logo that we've kept now for a few years. Life, grandkids and business have killed my bronco mojo.
I started hand painting signs at 12 and went to art school and recently started hand drawing my banner for the garage and I feel like just that has brought me back centered to my dream. I have always wanted a bronco since my neighbor had one in high school. Now I want to finish what I started so my wife and I can go on Sunday cruises, go to car shows with our grandkids and such.
Stripped it back down and have my frame redone with a different color. Tub at the sandblaster and things are finally in a positive direction thanks to my love of design and drawing. Pics coming as our journey continues on our Bronco.

Thanks, I love looking at everyones projects and their interpretation of what a Bronco should be. Still tormenting myself over paint color or leave the patina

I’m a patina fan. I’ve found patina truck owners use them more. If it gets a rock chip or heaven forbid dirty they feel less self conscious about it. Patina tells a story, once it is removed, that story is erased.

Keep the patina and drive it!

Perfect paint is pretty but it’s sterile, it’s new and has no story. I do appreciate it, it’s just not for me. I’m not going to spend hours looking for flaws, however with patina I will spend hours wondering what the story is behind a scratch, ding or imperfection.

been 12 years myself...at least I have always had another to drive. It's been a long haul but small milestones are the best!

God has a special place in heaven for you fellas with enough patients to see these through over years and or decades. I would have burned the garage down to not have to look at it by now LOL

I have had sooo many good offers to buy mine. No rust anywhere and been in a garage the entire time I've had. Been tempted a couple times. But like I said I've always wanted one.

I am with yeller I like original paint or patina ,my 77 green bronco was repainted in 81 after a rollover so it’s a dull patina can’t really hurt it drive it everywhere except when they put salt on the road, My 76 lite blue original paint with some restoration and scratch areas fixed doesn’t look bad recently at a car show in Pinetop az offered big bucks and turn it down wife thinks I am nuts .The hood on my 77 Was loaded full of Bondo after the roll over I had to throw it away get another hood got K200 on it but need to paint it green again . I would try cleaning up your paint and leave it drive it have fun less stress

Keep the patina and drive it. I drove the wheels off my 74. Used it every day. Wheeled it, meet my wife in it (it was muddy and had mud on the inside of the windshield that night too). I did a frame off 12 years ago and I don’t drive it as much now because it’s too nice.
