I have a mystery steering box.

Delphi 26059865

Trying to locate fittings for it. Difficult to use a thread checker.

Are all boxes inverted flare? Just ordered a few to do some checking. Any help appreciated.

From what I can see of the one hole in the box, I'm guessing it's one of the GM o-ring power steering fittings. Never worked on that box but I'd guess maybe a 16mm and 18mm. Similar to what they use on the Bosch hydroboosts and Saginaw pumps since the early 1980s.

That’s was I was thinking. One of those 16mmx1.5 o ring type??

I actually had one laying around from another build.

That’s what they are! Never seen a steering box with that style.

What’s the difference in these two types of fittings?

Wonder which one I need. They are definitely 16 and 18mm metric.

I don't use aluminum fittings in power steering. Probably OK, I just don't like it or advise it.

My experience is that you need one of each size as one is 16mm and the other is 18mm and they need to be the "O-Ring Bump" type that I linked above. Those blue fittings use either a crush washer or an o-ring under the hex part. Neither option will work in the steering box.

Got it, much appreciated man!

The reason that aluminum one was I feel the same. Went steel fittings on last steering rack.
