I'd use this one for the guess this part game but I don't know the answer.

It is bundled in with the other speedo cluster wires, black/blue stripe and has a connector. That color combo is not listed in my Chilton's wiring schematics. Does anyone know what it's for? Everything in my dash is hooked up and working, could be for some option my bronco didn't come with.

Viper is correct. I used that wire to power my under dash led lights. Turn your headlight switch nob all the way left and it supplies power to that wire.

Yessiree... this is why we don't need a repair manual. All you need to know is right here. Thanks Viper and Elkhart... checked it with my meter and it is indeed what you said. Cheers :)

Dude! You're killin' me... ;) I forgot all about that thread and never went back to it after my comment. Anyway, I didn't see any mention of a black/blue stripe wire. Now I need to get some lights to hook up to it before my cluster goes back in. I might run a wire to the back for lights there too.

I'm pretty stoked about this one Gene. Our resident guru Kevin Capito (fallingdown) is refurbing mine and doing a few mods... voltmeter swap for the ammeter, speedo gear for 33" tires, speedo repair since mine has never worked in the 19 years I've owned her, a luminous gauge upgrade and a Bronco script on the lower portion.
