I would think that the part that people say is hard is welding the axle back up nice and straight. to do so properly requires a jig so as not to warp the housing. I'm curious if this axle ever got put back into the Bronco and if it's running alright.

I did this on my truck has worked fine and my front driveshaft hasn't come apart like it did with the stock axle. Drive line was correct one just had so much droop it would come apart and didn't want to use limiting straps. I have 38.5 boggers and have yet to break anything on axle yet. Knock on wood. My truck is not street driven just mud and trails. Can't tell you how it drives on the street.
