Need a cheap solution for flexible lift in the rear.

Currently, I have a Short add-a-leaf, and a 2" block. I would like to ditch the add-a-leaf because its stiffer than a brick. I'd like to keep the 2" block if I have to use a block at all, but not go anything larger than that. I would like to get some nice flex out of the rear if I could. I have 5.5 lift springs in the front. (at this point, fabrication is out the question as well...shackle flip)

Are there any springs I could say take apart at the junkyard and use in my spring packs to help out? Or maybe springs from another vehicle that I could use?

I am talking CHEAP here!!

Thanks, Derek

Bronco springs are bronco springs unless you can fabricate some new mounts.

Shackle flip: torch, weld on some extra metal to strengthen what you cut out. Cost, depends on how friendly you are with some one with a torch and a welder.

I guess I could take a look at it tonight and see what needs to be done. At this point it isn't even rolling on its own, I just figured since the rear end is tore down, now would be the easiest time to take the housing down since its light.

Should the gas tank be taken out to so the cutting and welding?
