I am looking at installing a custom windshield wiper system on my 74. I would like a system that has wipers on the lower part of the windshield, with the motor behind the dash. I will not be using a dash pad so I will require a “clean” installation for the wiper transmission. I will have plenty of room behind the dash because I will not have a glove box, also I have deleted the heater/ defroster box. I have read the Tech install for a three wiper system, but that modification is for a Bronco with a dash pad, and the motor mounted in the cold air box area. Thanks for any tips on this.

WH has what you need. If I remember correctly they use a Geo/Chevy Tracker motor and linkage. I know your not running a padded dash but apparently it is almost hidden under the pad. Obviously some modifications are necessary and results may vary haha. WH tech line could probably lead you in the right direction for parts if you want to make it all yourself. But I think they have a kit.

sounds like you need a viewfinder frame! It comes with a stainless piece to hide the linkage but you do have to box in the motor. I installed mine this spring but have to box in the motor still. glue in the glass instead of the rubber seal and your set!
