Well I thought I had everything well marked and separated . After reinstalling the gauge cluster I noticed this wire. It's coming from the main wire cluster that all the gauge cluster wires are coming from. The only thing I can think of is that it came off the back of the fuel selector switch toggle. There are only (02) wires on the back of the toggle and online it looks like there should be (03) . Here is the picture of the wire and the back of the fuel toggle switch . If additional photos are needed please let me know. Thank you in advance for your help.

Yellow wire is typically from the side tank sending unit, Orange from the back tank... and then add to the confusion an orange wire to the gas gauge. (Cause a lot of rigs only had one tank, the rear.)

So the fuel select switch has 6 terminals, looks like you are using the top set. Center terminal goes to the gas gauge, the outer ones are for the tanks, placed in the appropriate positions to jive with what the bezel says... The lower 3 connectors are not used
