Need help w/ upper ball joint removal...

How is it held in the knuckle. Can't tell if it's pressed in or what. I have heated it and whacked the hell out of it. Hasn't budged. The lower came out easy. Help please.

It's pressed. There may be a snap ring on it, check for that. sometimes you can knock them out but may need a press.

it presses out from the inside. kind of a SOB to get a tool in there, i've seen people go through the bottom ball joint hole with something to push it out.

try a ball joint press. fairly inexpesive and versitile. worked excellent on my 76 f250. heat may help.
