ok my 68 bronco was riding on the throwout bearing and i was drivin down the freeway and it started to make a scratching noise under the doghouse i have the stock 3 speed in it and its so bad it grinds in first gear, 3rd gear and second gear is fine! it also grinds when ur foot is off the pedal when u are in neutral but does not grind when ur foot is on the pedal does that sound like the clutch or the transmission? im headin out today to tear it out please get back to me thanks justin
