I need all pans and panels replaced on my 1966 U13. I have all steel but need quality labor from fab shop that’s done this before and on a quality level. Please help me locate a fab shop within several hundred miles, I can deliver on rolling chassis.

Let me know if I need to post in a different category. I wasn’t sure.

Finding a restoration shop that wants to do that kind of work reasonably is the challenge. Often times you will find that a new body will be less than shops will quote for repairs. That actually does not look too rusty. The posts, cowl and key parts that make it hard seem to be salvageable and least hassle for alignment. Good luck.

You might want to try reaching out to Nick at Nick's Trix. He uses a body shop to paint his beautiful builds in NC but I don't know if they do actual panel replacement. Probably pretty pricey.

And my advice is to have it media blasted first. You have some panels that obviously need replacing, but you may find that some are easily salvageable, and some that look good might have hidden rust. Having done a lot of my panels myself, you have a lot of $$ there if you need to pay someone. Might be within striking distance of just buying a whole new body instead.

I want to stay original. I have a perfect 66 u13 frame and I was able to get this 66 u13 body. This body was closest “workable” 66 body I could find.

I am a body guy and dont see anything that hardly needs replaced by the looks of the cowl and door post.

Obviously the floor pans and driver rocker though, those 2 are a 1 day job.

Left taillight housing and probably left rear quarter too

Thx. The more I think about it, even tho a rookie, I think I’ll grab a Miller 211 and ask locals / watch YouTube. I want to be able to do the whole thing, so I guess I’ll go for it.

You might want to investigate body panel adhesive too. The tail light, rockers, and rear quarter can all be glued on. I’d stick with welding for the floors. Harbor freight spot weld drill bit works wonders for removing the old panels

I am about 60 percent done with my first full metal job and it is very fun and rewarding. It wont win any shows and I learned a lot for the next one. Set your expectations properly and enjoy. Reading everything you can here and youtube is the right path.
