IF this should have been posted in Off Topic...sorry. I figured since I plan to tow my Bronco with this vehicle I would post here, and figured I would get more response.

This is the light duty F250, 4X4, 5.4 engine with 254000 miles and still has original shocks. After towing my Bronco to the Transmission shop it was obvious I needed shocks before towing the Bronco on a long trip.
What shocks work well for this application ?????

Is it because yours are worn out or is it some other reason? I would think the stock shocks should be fine as long as they are not worn out as long as the weight is balanced out right. I tow my Bronco with my 97 Explorer and don't have any issues with the shocks under it. That said you might consider the Cage nitrogen pressurized shocks. A couple of others here mentioned that they have put them under the larger trucks and they were working well for them.

I think they are worn out. It's been a while since I have towed anything that weighed much, but I use to tow a 30' travel trailer and it didn't bounce me around near like the trip with the Bronco. This truck is 7 years old with a lot of miles...figured it was probably the shocks.

Just about any shocks will do while some are better than others you will pay for them but keep in mind there's only a few companies that make shocks and sometimes the high dollar shocks are no better than the cheaper ones. Try to stay with the gas pressureized shocks as they usually dont fade as fast. I've always had pretty good luck with monroes, also liked the ride with pro comps even though they were actually sold under another name.
