Need pics of throttle linkage on a '71 Bronco. Cant remember what years had the odd linkage setup with the "jungle gym"but believe it was like '70-'72 so that might work too. Mine has the "jungle gym" contraption that mounts to the intake and has several linkage pieces coming off of it. I had bypassed the "jungle gym" and had it going from the main hoop straight to the carb. I now want to put it back factory correct so I need pics from all angles of the stock linkage as it comes through the firewall, attaches the the large bracket and continues from the "jungle gym" thingy on over to the carb. Thanks,

This is from when I took mine down to the frame. I took pictures of everything. It's a 71 but i have since revised it to use the newer style. Much simpler.

Wow, that is a jungle gym!

P.S. Baja - the blue valve covers look way better!

I got rid of that crap off mine. It was worn out and had too many moving parts for my liking. I simply ran a rod, simiar to what 1971Bronco1971 posted.

Any idea why Ford put this type linkage on in the first place? The newer style that comes over straight to the carb works great on the 73-77's.

I always thought it had to do with lessening the sensitivity of the throttle by not having direct drive, so to speak. However, I'm really not sure what they were thinking. Ford boys in the design room with an Erector Set, I guess. Wonder what they would have made if the box contained Legos?

Legos...is that what the body designers had to work with? No wonder the boxy design...:p
