Nice article & more pics. I think it's pretty cool to go back to basics - looks like it's a stick which I think works for a vehicle like this. I do think there needs to be a better solution for the spare tire, it seems like it takes up too much room where they have it.

Mmmm....no. Looking to the past for ideas is one thing, but copy and paste from 1966 doesn't really work these days.

The huge door opening combined with the rear wheelwell stretching back to the bumper looks wonky. Spare tire location and angle is just.... wrong. I doubt the dash and center console electronics would survive the first rainstorm. At least paint the wheels body color.

When Ford puts out the first update/"mid-cycle refresh" to the 6th Gen, there's a couple of things I hope they address:

* Offer a real tailgate, that opens like a tailgate should. Either as an option, or come up with a tailgate that open either way. Hey, station wagons in the '60's did it, I'm sure Ford can do it for the Bronco.

* Reshape the floorpan on 2 door models so that the rear seats can fold FLAT into the floor.

* Increase the capacity of the gas tank to at least 20 gallons.

* Offer a V8 and manual trans.
