New Exhaust...Wanted to share the video

First of all thank you for all the knowledge you all share. I appreciate the help on so many topics.

I just had my exhaust redone and wanted to share. After a lot of research I decided to go 2 into 1 (I have the NP205, not much room for duals). I had the system completely redone from the stock manifolds back. The head pipes both dump straight into a pre-fabricated y that you can buy from most shops. The y is just before the muffler (I think this way sounds best, ask me how I know).

As soon as I figure out how to upload pictures I'll post them. The muffler is a single in dual out 50 series Flowmaster with delta flow. The pipes are 2.25" straight out the back. The single Flowmaster is a little bit louder and more throaty than my previous system which was dual summit turbos. You may ask why dual out? Only because I like the dual look and I already had the muffler which I took off my silverado. Under a load the system sounds very deep and throaty. It's not as noisy as the 40 series but you still get the low rumble.

That's sounds exactly like what I have on the wife's '76. Two into one, with duals out the back. I'm glad somebody else thinks the symmetry of duals out the back is important.And it is much more "throaty" than duals with turbos.Sounds more like a 351 for some reason. In my case I have two going into one 3inch, a catalytic convertor, 15 inch Flowmaster, then split to two 2.5 inch pipes out the rear.

BTW your vid just made up my mind that I will be doing a 2 in 1 out 2 on mine as well. I was thinking of using a 40 but worried about it being to noisy, that 50 sounds really good. Do you know the dimensions of your muffler by chance? Any routing issues doing it this way? Hope you get pics up, I'm really curious to see how you routed it.

Sounds great but i might add with the exhaust pointing straight back, be ready for exhaust fumes to enter if you don't have really good seals around rear hatch and window.

I did a dual with flow master 50's and like them. I have run 40's my whole life but was worried they would be too loud. They are nice and quiet but when you punch it they open up.

OK here are some pictures. Hopefully this works. As far as routing, the shop had no issues with installation. The muffler probably could have gone a little higher but I was somewhat concerned about heat on the passenger floor. The pictures make it seem closer to the driveline than it really is. Any amount of BL helps a lot as they can run the pipes higher. I only have a 1" BL but it seems to be plenty. Nothing hangs below the frame and no pipes are visible.

The driver side drop comes down between the bell housing and transmission. The dual pipes were jogged around the transfer case so it can be removed easily. the muffler itself is 17" long, 4.5" tall, and 9.5" wide. It could have been installed vertically but it's personal preference. I could have bought a dual inlet muffler but the pre-made y allows me to use almost any 3" inlet muffler I want. Plus I already had this muffler lying around. I hope I answered all the questions.

I had the Y farther forward at first but had the shop move it back after I drove it awhile. With a long section of 3" pipe before the muffler it sounded like a boat. having the individual pipes dumping straight into the muffler gives it that dual exhaust sound where you can hear each cylinder fire. The 3" pipe mixes the sound too much in my opinion.
