Been doing some brake work on the rear of my Bronco. found a leaking axle seal so I bought new seals and bearings. When I pulled the axle shaft on the driver side there was a lot of trash in the axle tube, probably debris from the clutches in the Trac-Loc and even some metal pieces in the gear oil that was leaking out, the axle tube on that side is full of that stuff. I'm going to pull the whole 3rd member out to see what all is bad. Instead of rebuilding mine I may just buy a complete drop in 3rd member. Been looking at what is offered from different vendors and prices vary a lot. Any if you here ever get one from a place called Speedway Motors? I have a buddy that owns a shop that builds hotrods and he suggested them. Pricing isn't too bad either.

Speedway is a staple in the hot rod and circle track world, been around since the 50’s. Also look at Quick Performance, I can’t build them for what I can buy them for from them.
