Everyone,
I'm about to buy my first original Bronco, a 76' and I am very green. I saw the original bronco as a kid and fell in love immediately. Other than knowing this is what I wanted one day as a cruiser and play vehicle, learning what I can from reading and seeing them from time to time, and having a good relationship with the person I'm buying it from I do not have much experience or skill with this best vehicle ever. In fact, this is my first post and first Bronco forum.
The Bronco I'll be buying is a running 76' and needs work everywhere. It has been sitting for a while, covered until recently, and the previous owner (owned it for approx. 15 years) did some engine work but just ran short on time over the years. The last time he drove it regularly was about 6 years ago. I'm not entirely sure what direction I want to go yet but would like to have it safely running sooner rather than later. I'm ok with taking the repairs and refurbish slow from there.
I live in Decatur, Ga and if anyone by chance lives in this area and could contact me that would be awesome. I certainly would appreciate comments and posts from all others. Big question and a reach here: I recently ran into a gentleman this summer in Decatur who was driving a 74' (I believe) yellow Bronco, said he owned several Classic Broncos, worked at Ga Tech, and lived within a mile from me. We were both in a hurry so I left him my card but didn't get his info. If anyone may know this fella or this sounds like you please contact me.
Thanks to all and look forward to the Bronco world.
