Identical to the pan on my '72. Been up and down some pretty gnarly hills the last 10 yrs ive had it. Not one issue with lack of lubrication. I'd say its the one you need. This is the # on the pan. DITE-6675-BA. I guess thats a part #. Those pans you are looking at on ebay are designed that way to get more clearance for the engine to sit lower in the car, to cram more junk under the hood, and keep the same oil capacity. the pan goes up , over and back down over the crossmember.

Yep, looks stock Bronco right down to the oil leaking out of the dipstic flange. Which just happens to be on the passenger side too, just like a stock Bronco.
The only reason the PO had anything to worry about then was if, for some reason, the pickup tube was not correct for that pan. Only one way to say for sure, and that's to drop the pan a couple of inches and have a look-see.
Hard to recommend that though, seeing as how it's a stock Bronco pan to begin with. Hard to imagine someone putting that pan on with a front sump pickup. Probably wouldn't even fit.
But, then again, we've run into many things that PO's do that you wouldn't believe!!!! Might be worth a day's worth of getting dirty just to make sure.
For the peace of mind factor.

You have the right pan. I would check the gear oil in that front end seeing as it doesnt have a breather hose on the nipple. it might be full of water!!! Check the rear too if there is no hose on it. check the both anayway just to be sure!!

Pan

I have a double sump pan with oil pump and a tube.
Everything you need. I like a truck pan better because it holds I think a extra quart. I had it on my truck (EB) for 3,000 miles and changed to a chrome pan. also comes with a pan gasket oil tube/oil pump. I sold it on ebay in 3 days. Im having problems in collecting the $. If your interested I'll cancel the other person its been 12 days and his check did not go through 2x I'm tired of messing with him. I could send you a pic Thi pan is in perfect shape. If interested write me.

Yea, I was thinking about doing that. I think the PO was told that info from someone else and probably wasn't ever sure himself.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll get on that as well. So far all I've done is replace the Starter and Starter solenoid. I was about to do the Alternator, Water Pump, Thermostat, and belt....then decided I want to go with the Explorer serpentine setup so I have more options down the road. So now a trip to the yards is in order!

Thanks for the offer. I think I am just gonna run this one for a while and try to spend that money elsewhere for now since there is plenty that needs to be done. If things change I'll let you know.
