Should the blower motor be blowing air when the "Pull for Heat" knob is pushed in? Mine only releases the airflow when that knob is out. Otherwise, the motor is running, but the duct is closed off. Thanks.

The Pull for heat knob opperates a baffle that completely shuts off air flow from the fan and from the passenger side air intake. Obviously it makes no sense even run the fan with the knob in. But if the fan is off, it prevents fresh air from blowing in.
Correct. You can use it as a vent only, when you pull it out and leave the fan off. Not the most efficient vent, but it works nicely on days when the temps are just right.
