Non-OEM break away side mirrors?

Trying to get the '74 in shape for the trail and it needs a few small things, one of them being mirrors. Passenger side is gone, drivers side came off a kids power-wheels.

I'd like to get a set like what came on mid-model Bronco's and F-series trucks, but before I did, I was curious as to the quality of these units?

Are non-oem decent or should I hold out for factory equipment?

Find a 80s Toyota and get the mirrors off of it they fold like the 80s trucks but not as big.

Yeh, I think I'll hold out for some OEM mirrors.

Some like ADMIN use FJ mirrors. There kinda big but after putting 200,000 miles on my excursion I can appreciate huge mirrors and there benefits. A larger vertical mirror gives you more useful viewing than a wider mirror. And having the extra adjustable smaller mirror on the bottom of the larger mirror is great. Im not sure if the FJ mirrors are a double mirror or not?

I've been using the Delbar brand mirrors that are similar to, but slightly different shapes than the OE style.
I actually preferred the look of them because the mirror head, while virtually the same size, had a slightly more "angular" look to it, rather than the more rounded backing that the stock ones did.
And the top arm sticks out straighter which allowed me to mount a bolt-on style wide-angle mirror to the beam rather than using one of those stick-on styles that take up so much space on the mirror.

It's been my experience with these, factory, and "most" other aftermarket mirrors of this type that they're relatively tight when new and only loosen up after being used a bit.
Mine were installed in '89, have about 65k miles (maybe more) on them and are dead tight still.

Got black on the EB and the polished stainless ones on the pickup.

I grabbed some OEM Ford mirrors yesterday at the salvage yard. Hope to get them installed tomorrow.
