I bought a set of quick change hinges from a fellow member about a year ago and now that I've bought some tube doors and go to mount them I discovered that there about a 1" or so longer than stock hinges. I have no idea what they might be for but the real question is does anyone sell quick change hinges not made of stainless? I would assume they would be far more reasonably priced and if not, can stainless be easily painted to match body color?

Big Toe, What is the pin diameter? There used to be sets out there built by Wild Child but they had a small pin diameter. I dont know of any others.

Duff's has the larger diameter pin version. The small is about ¼" and the large pin is about ½"

Pin dia. is about 1/2" but the overall size and set up is completely wrong. I got hosed on this one. Lesson learned I guess.
I figure I'll order a new set like I should have from the start, I just figured I hate to pay for stainless and turn around and paint them, seams like a waist.
Here's a pic of the difference.

I just checked out Duff's and thats what they appear to be. I wonder why the difference in size? they look like they would only work with Duffs trail doors and not even a set of stock doors. Doesn't make sense to me. Maybe I'll call 'em tomorrow.

Have you tried to install them? The hinge is fully folded over when closed so the length of it may not matter. It may be taller to compensate for the larger pin diameter. Just a thought.
