Anyone have some photos of where the bends needs to be on the NP435 shift rod, and what it looks like installed? I think I have an idea, but would love to see how it is done. I will need to take mine to work, don't have a torch at the house.

Thank You

I think the bend location and angle will depend on if you have a body lift or not as well.

That will require a much more aggressive set of bends. I know that doesn't help with the design, but something to keep in mind if you end up having to figure it out without visual help.

Mine barely fits with a 1" body lift. Will add more pics separately but the bend starts right at the base of the shifter. Under the shift boot is immediately the base of my shifter as it goes into the tranny. Sorry can't see why it's posting upside down.

One moe pic. In granny gear it's very close to dash and steering wheel on mine...you have to avoid the t-cas shifter and go to driver side of it.

Anyone else? Will take any pictures of a 435 shifter in a Bronco cab. Just trying to get a visual on what it needs to look like.

Thank You

PO's work, but it works well. Interferes with nothing, and puts the shifter in just the right location.....

I am entertaining the Gear Banger, but thought I would try without and save $200.i have a guy at work that has offered to bend it for me, I don't have a torch at the house. I am a ways away yet, still have not even pulled out the C4.

Back 10 years ago when I bent mine ... I was scared to bent it .. But I finally heated it up .. I used my cutting torch. I got about 4 to maybe 5 inches red Then I bent it slowly .. I let that cool before I did my 2nd bend. After a couple of day I decided it needed a twinging ... SO For about the next 3 or 4 weeks after I drove it for a while I kept redoing my bends.

Most people don’t know that the NP435 came with two different top covers. One taller than the other and has a shorter throw. The catch is you need more dash clearance. Mine is the shorter cover. 2” body lift.
