Number of Bolts - Windshield Frame to Top?

As the title says, how many and is there a different number between early and late models?
I've seen the number 9 bandied about in searches, and I have 10 on mine. But mine is a hybrid of a later model top and an early windshield frame ('68) with some re-drilling involved.

I'm sure we've talked about it over the years, but don't recall a difference other than spacing.
And no, I'm not at WH at the moment so can't just run out and take a poll.;D

Thanks for confirming.

Thanks! That was the thought, but when I counted 10 on my '68 and a friend counted 10 on his electric-wipered '69 I had to ask.
Being a '69 though, his could still be in a transition period.

Be interested to hear from any other early folks.

9 on my 70
10 on my vacuum wiper 67

The 1970 electric wiper has a hole in the dead center above the mirror
The 67 vacuum wiper does not have a hole in the dead center.

8 on my 1966.

Thanks. Ever the oddball, those '66's!

Perfect. Thanks for the detail James.
Still interested in hearing from others, but I think this puts the detail on the discrepancies I was seeing. Sounds like 10 bolts on most vacuum wiper setups through later '69, 9 bolts on most electric wiper setups after '69, and a potential assortment on '66 models.
Just in case, what month was your '66 built in gclauson?

Thanks everyone.

Paul,
My VIN is U15NL8883XX, so that puts it as a July 66 build.

Thanks.
Pretty early then. We should poll Okie to see if he's got later ones in the stable. And if so, do the later ones still have 8 or do they go to 10 at some point.

Never ceases to be interesting, the little differences you can learn about EB's.

Paul, that's 1966, so it is a very late 66.
But very early in the whole scheme of things!
